About

Turning life’s rich tapestry into works of wisdom.

A self-confessed late bloomer, Leigh-Michel returned to study at twenty-two, after leaving high school for a full-time job at sixteen.

While working towards her WACE in Accounting, English and English literature, her Teacher asked why she was focusing on commerce when she had blitzed her English exams.

“I replied with some lame excuse about needing to earn money and the enthusiasm that blazed for that year, quickly disappeared.”

After completing her TEE (as it was referred to back then), Leigh-Michel completed her Bachelor of Business in accounting and finance, then became a Certified Practising Account, whilst embarking on a professional career spanning over two decades whilst raising her two daughters.

Her love of literature never faulted; however, writing took a back seat.

Fast forward to her year long recovery from chronic fatigue, including months of infusions and the therapy of writing, Leigh-Michel found herself emerging with a 50,000-word manuscript.

“That book lay dormant for more than a decade, as family life and running businesses took precedence. It was not until a chance meeting with a new acquaintance that reignited my passion, and I began to madly write, without restraint, re-writing my manuscript, penning short stories and developing a children’s books series.”

“I’ve come to realise that creativity brings real rewards, and am now focusing every waking hour on this spectacular quest.

Writing restores and rescues the mind. It is a great love."
